Summerland is an American Television series that used to air on Warner Bros TV Channel.The series first season premiered on June 1, 2008 and the second season premiered on February 28, 2005.The show's Main character is Ava Gregory played by Lori Loughlin, she's in her 30's and is raising her sister's children Bradin, Nikki and Derrick (played by Jesse McCartney, Kay Panabaker and Nick Benson), the other main characters are Johnny Durant (Ava's ex-boyfriend) and Merrin Dungey (Ava's friend and business partner).

Bradin, Nikki and Derrick started living with Ava after their parents were dead in an accident, Bradin (Jesse McCartney) is the oldest of the three, who copes with the loss of his parents by driking and involving with drugs.He earns a reputation as a wild child but also as an exceptional surfer, he is offered a sponsorship by many major companies but his personal problems seem to get in the way on more than one occasion.Nikki (Kay Panabaker) is an exceptionally bright child who starts off trying to take over the "mother" role but eventually settles in and makes many friends, Derrick (Nick Benson) is the youngest of the three children and is very close to Ava.

Cameron Bale played by Zac Efron first appearance on the show was on the third episode of first season as a friend of Nikki.Cameron is Nikki's best friend and on-off boyfriend that lives with his divorced alcoholic father (who has also dated Ava) and has lots of problems, Nikki helps Cameron get through a lot of troubles.

Lori Loughlin is the creator of the show and also it's producer, besides playing Ava's role.

Summerland was part of the wave of summer programming that rose after FOX's 2003 hit-show "The O.C.", The first season of Summerland enjoyed a bigger success in first season and a reasonable in the second.
